Wholesome Wednesday July 8, 2020
“For Wholesome Wednesday, I got out my sidewalk chalk and wrote a message to everyone who’s struggling through these times. Coronavirus and quarantining have affected all of us, and I think we forget that little positive messages like those help people sometimes.”
- Selei Cho, Key Club Vice President
“We did the Sidewalk Chalk Art event as a part of D28W Summer Service Week and it was so fun! To spread positivity and love to our community we wrote positive messages in colorful chalk on our sidewalks. While I was with my dog, Winter, (who’s a Pomsky by the way) I decided that pulling out my supplies and participating could be really fun. She wouldn’t sit still for too long for the picture, but I’m happy that I was able to have fun and spread a nice message around. ‘This is just a chapter in our life, not the whole story. Keep your head up!’ During these tough times, it’s important to remember that we could have a brighter future to look forward to.”

Thank-You Thursday July 9, 2020
“For Thank-You Thursday, I made cards for the frontline workers of Community Ambulance to thank them for everything that they have done. The world has been going through such a difficult time dealing with COVID-19, and these people have sacrificed so much to help everyone out. Their commitment, courage, and care are beyond inspiring, and it feels amazing to let them know that their community appreciates them.”
- Sophia Sanalila, Key Club Bulletin Editor
“For Thank-You Thursday, we made cards thanking frontline workers for all the hard work they put in during the pandemic. It made me realize how appreciative I am of these workers for sacrificing their health for the health of the community.”

Service Opportunity - Charity Miles July 9, 2020
“Charity Miles is a really cool app that tracks the miles you walk/run and exchanges it into money that is donated to a charity of the user’s choice. March of Dimes is a preferred charity by Key Club and was my pick for the application. I’ve been using it for about three weeks. I like how Charity Miles actively gives me a reason to walk my dog and get a breath of fresh air during the quarantine. I know that both my dog and I are happy with the amount of exercise and sunlight we are getting. Though she may not know it, we are both walking for an amazing cause.”
